Students of color need opportunities in their community. It can give them confidence in understanding that there are positive aspects of being a student of color. Rose of Hope Foundation has a program called Black in America. The program discusses stereotypes of being of color within society, perceptions of how people in other groups think of people of color, and how those perceptions can be challenged with good decision-making and behaviors that contradict racial expectations.
