Rose of Hope Foundation Smart, Aware, & Online Fall 2014 Cohort | October 17, 2014 Social Media Youth Education Workshop
Youth learned how to make safe and positive decisions when they use social media and surf online. Being on the internet does not have to be a scary place. Teaching our youth how to stay away from people that may hurt them, how to not be involved with bullying online, and how to have fun without giving out their personal information is key. Students use the internet to play games, complete homework, and to even chat with friends. This workshop educates out youth about the internet to help them have fun without long term negative consequences.
Youth learned about digital tattoos and how whatever you post on the internet never goes away (October, 2014).
Students learning about how unsafe it is to post inappropriate photos online while using social media (October, 2014).
